Mignac : Property Details

The house is very open plan. There is a large open fireplace in the downstairs area where there are 2 sofas and a couple of occasional chairs. The TV has freeview  and there are lots of DVDs to amuse one in the evening.

The small kitchen is reasonably well equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave. There is a small dining table with seating for 5 and a larger table outside for eating al fresco but in the shade.

Inside the house seems quite dark which is very characteristic of houses in this area. During the summer months it can be very hot outside and so the shade is very welcome.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms.

There is a large bedroom with twin beds and a futon which can be used for extra guests if required. There are fly nets over the beds as at certain times of the year the little flies can be quite annoying. The double bedroom has a little balcony overlooking the caves which are cut into the tuffeau stone in the garden. This was a site of an old farm and in the caves you can still see the old bread oven which they used and also where the animals slept and ate.

There is a high chair and travel cot available at the house for younger guests.

In the garden there is an 8m round pool enclosed as all pools have to be. Around the pool is an area for sunbathing with a parasol, table and chairs.

The garden is quite wild, so good for kicking around a ball and under the carport is a basket ball net for the energetic visitors.

There are 3 bicyles in one of the caves.
