Location

Bellon is a little hamlet which is about half a mile from La Croix Hellean which is a small village 2 miles from the medieval town of Josselin. Josselin has its very own 16th century chateau perched on the banks of the Nantes Brest canal which runs through the town. The canal towpath is a wonderfully picturesque place to walk or cycle and in Josselin there are several bars and restaurants where you can have a very reasonable meal.

Ploermel another town nearby has a swimming pool and a good shopping centre and again lots of restaurants and bars. Close by is the Lac au Duc where there is a sandy beach, safe swimming, fishing and canoeing and a great sailing centre where you can hire boats and boards or try your hand at waterskiing. Near the lake there is also an excellent 9-hole golf course so no excuse for putting on weight on your holiday!!

Although Bellon is not on the coast it is not far away and in
40 mins you can be in Vannes which is a beautiful town on the south coast of Morbihan. Lorient is not to far away either and all along the south coast you can enjoy visits to the quaint fishing villages and ports for which Brittany is so famous
