House Details

The house was built in 1944 and was originally an old farmhouse with an attic on the first floor where the hay was stored. We have converted it into another 2 rooms so now there are 4 bedrooms, 2 double rooms and 2 with twin beds or bunks.

The ground floor has a big family kitchen with the dining table and a sofa to relax on. It is fully equipped with cooker, washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer. There is also an electric kettle and toaster so all the home comforts. On the ground floor there is also the salon with a couple of sofas and a rocking chair. There is a DVD player there and also lots of family games where you can relax after a busy day enjoying French life. On the ground floor there is one of the double bedrooms with a shower room and toilet en-suite.

The other bedrooms are on the first floor as is the family bathroom.  All the floors are made of chestnut which is very typical of the houses in this region. At the local markets you will see lots of chestnut honey and outside there is a lovely big chestnut tree from where we gather the nuts in the autumn and roast them during the winter.

Out side there is a little garden to the front and the rear and there are fields everywhere else. There are a few neighbours who are all very helpful and friendly
